Story of Ishrat Amir

Ishrat Amir: A 23 year old girl from Kupwara, a BA student was admitted at Shafaqat Rehabilitation Centre on 28th June 2020. She was buried under a huge mound of mud while she's digging under it. As a result she suffered #L1 spinal cord injury. She couldnt sit, stand , move, and lost her bowl & bladder control. She lost all sensation from below her belly. She became dependent for all ADL's. When she's rescued by neighbours she was immediately taken to District Hospital Kupwara from there she's referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar. SMHS Hospital referred her to Shafaqat Rehabiliation Centre , a dept. of Voluntary Medicare Society. She gained sensation after one month. She began transfer on wheelchair, then waling using crutches, then single crutch. After 53 days of her admission in SRC , she began walking independently.
