Parental Counselling:

The parent counselling is aimed to involve them to look after their children with disabilities to understand the issues that trouble them.They are trained to assess, & provide remedies through home based interventions. The Counsellor at the centre keep regular contact with the parents for registering prognosis and improvements of children in all the areas of development. The counsellor also addresses the parents for their own stress, social addictions and emotional issues. After every 3 months the parent -teacher meeting is conducted.

Home protocol:

Home based programmes makes it possible to base the rehabilitation process on daily activities in home surrounding. Home based rehabilitation has been shown to be an effective means of improving quality of life and function for people living in the far flung areas and for those who cannot attend the institute on daily basis.

Home based program is based on the individual needs like:

A simple exercise program twice in a day for half hour.

Program to follow ADL's (activities of daily living) consisting of the activities relating to the personal care and grooming skills.

Functional academics consisting of the activities relating to based on reading, writing and athematic.

The home based program is developed in a practical manner so that it is feasible for parents, caregivers and other family members to implement it within the home settings using minimal resources.
