Autism Spectrum disorder is a difference in the way a childâ€™s brain develops. Child with autism may have trouble understanding the world around them. The child also might move in an unusual way (like flapping their hands) or do the same thing over and over (like saying the same word). A child with Autism may have a little trouble with these things or a lot. Children with Autism need only a little bit of help, and others might need a lot of help with learning and doing everyday stuff. Autism is something people are born with. No one knows exactly what causes it. It probably has something to do with a child's genes and other things that change the way the brain develops there is no cure for autism, but treatment can make a big difference.
Therapists, and special education teachers at Shafaqat Special School help children learn to talk, play and learn. They also help children with autism learn about making friends, taking turns and getting along.

AUTISM MANAGEMENT UNIT

The child is being provided with daily living skills such as toilet training , dressing ,undressing, brushing teeth and various other grooming skills .
Fine motor skill training such as holding objects , different grasps , cutting with scissors are been provided to a child by the therapists.
Gross motor skills training is also being provided.
Awareness of their body and it's relation to others, colour concepts , concepts of fruits, vegetables are also being provided.
