It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Vice President, Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Malik (IAS Officer Retd.), who left us on 16th October 2024. Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Malik was a beacon of strength, courage, and inspiration to all who knew him. Despite being wheelchair-bound after a life- changing road accident, his determination never wavered, and he went on to serve as a dedicated IAS officer, making significant contributions to society and the public service.

 

As a true champion of disability rights, he led our organization, the Voluntary Medicare Society, with passion and vision. His life was a testament to overcoming adversity, and his leadership has left an indelible mark on the field of disability empowerment and rehabilitation.

 

We are heartbroken by his loss, but his legacy will continue to guide us in our mission. His resilience, wisdom, and compassion will remain an enduring source of inspiration for all of us at VMS.

 

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues, members of this society and all those whose lives he touched.
