Two-Day Wheelchair Basketball Training Program Concluded Successfully
The Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), in collaboration with the Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India (WBFI) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), successfully concluded the two-day wheelchair basketball training program for coaches and players today. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 60 individuals, including both able-bodied participants and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The training program aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of coaches and players, fostering an inclusive environment for the sport. The participants engaged in a series of intensive training sessions designed to improve their technical and tactical abilities.
Certificates, awards, and mementos were distributed to players, team members, and volunteers during a closing ceremony graced by the presence of the VMS President and Secretary. The event was highlighted by the acknowledgment of the significant contributions made by key resource persons: Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India - WBFI President Mr. Varun Ahalawat, Coach Ms. Ritu Chowdhury, and Mr. Lateef.
