Reading without Seeing' Workshop Empowered Visually Impaired beneficiaries in District Kupwara!
45 visually impaired participants joined us at GHSS Handwara for a groundbreaking Digital Literacy Workshop under the #SeeAMillion campaign. Organized by Voluntary Medicare Society & Enable India Bangalore in collaboration with CEO Kupwara, the workshop showcased how technology can transform lives of persons withdisabilities!
Many esteemed guests were present in the workshop including Deputy Chief Education Officer Handwara, who inaugurated the workshop, Mr. Reyaz Ah Kirmani i/c Principal GHSS Handwara, Mr. Sameer Ullah Sheikh from Enable India, Mr. Javaid Wani, District Coordinator Inclusive Education, Mr. Javeed Abdullah, DNO OOS, Special Educators & Resource Persons.
Inspiring speakers Sheikh Sameer and Mr. Haneef, both 100% visually impaired, shared their success stories, proving that disability is not a barrier to achievement. The workshop introduced participants to assistive technologies and free digital literacy courses, opening new pathways to independence and opportunity.
