The University of Kashmir held the first meeting of its newly formed Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), chaired by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan.

On this occasion, an MoU was signed between the University of Kashmir and Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) to promote inclusive education and empowerment of persons with disabilities.

Through this collaboration, both institutions will jointly organize skill-based workshops, training programmes, and awareness sessions, focusing on accessibility, technical support, and the introduction of a Bachelor’s Programme in Special Education.

VMS appreciates this significant step towards creating disability-friendly campuses and fostering a more inclusive and equitable educational environment for all.
