Voluntary Medicare Success Story
Medical cum Multidisciplinary Camp at Kalaroos, Kupwara
Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) Srinagar, in collaboration with the District Administration Kupwara, PHC Kalaroos, and the RBSK Unit, successfully organized a Medical cum Multidisciplinary Camp on 13 December 2025, reaching children with multiple disabilities (0–18 years) and adult beneficiaries from the region.
The camp recorded strong community participation. The VMS P&O Unit under Project APPI provided specialized services, supporting 7 beneficiaries, taking 15 orthotic castings, conducting 30 PTA assessments, and distributing 5 hearing aids generously supported through the SBI Foundation CSR initiative.
The camp was graced by Mr. Bashir Ah. Lone (Director, VMS), along with Mr. Sabzar Ahmad Mir (P&O Technologist) and Mr. Qysar Afzal Sofi (Project Coordinator, APPI J&K & Ladakh). Dedicated efforts by VMS staff, including Mr. Shahbaz (PT & Centre Head, Kupwara Unit), and team members Mr. Jehangir, Mrs. Rayeesa (RT), and Mr. Mohammad Shafi Wani, Mr. Basit, ensured smooth execution.
We extend sincere gratitude to Dr. Hafiz khan (BMO Kalaroos) and the RBSK medical team—Dr Mohammed Ashraf, Dr. Babar Hafeez, Dr. Darakhshan, and staff—for their invaluable support and cooperation.
Together, we continue to advance inclusive healthcare and disability support across Jammu & Kashmir.
