The Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), Bemina Srinagar, in collaboration with Rahim Greens, successfully hosted a 2-Day Inter-District Wheelchair Basketball Competition on 22nd–23rd October 2025, celebrating ability, inclusion, and determination!

The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir, as Chief Guest, who lauded VMS’s efforts in promoting inclusive sports and called for wider collaboration to empower persons with disabilities.

Distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Mir Mohammad Maqbool (President & Founder, VMS), Mr. Aftab Alam (Ex-SSP), Prof. Dr. Shariq Masoodi, Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Shaw (Principal, Women’s Polytechnic College), Mr. Hamid (Head, Rahim Greens), Dr. Farooq Ahmad Kaloo, Secretary VMS, Er. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik and Prof. Masooda Yasin (VMS) — all of whom shared inspiring words on inclusion, accessibility, and the power of sports.
