For Mental Health:
A mental health unit was also established by the name Sawab center for people with various psycho-social issues. The center runs under the guidance of Ex. HOD Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Marghoob.
A team of psychiatrists and psychologists are rendering services as and when needed. The Centre has conducted various outreach camps to identify and rehabilitate the people with such disorders in district Ganderbal and adjacent areas, recommended by WHO as low cost model for improving mental health services in developing countries.
452 patients with mental health issues were identified, screened and intervened during year 2015-16 under this project, it was concluded in collaboration with DOUGLAS University of Montreal Canada and VMS still continues the services to needy till date.
