Introduction

To Sports Club

Increased involvement in exercise programs, competitive sports, and fitness activities has led to further inquiry into the broader concepts of performance, prevention of further deterioration of a given disability, maintenance for activities of daily living, and overall well-being. Physical activity can help control weight, improve mental health, and lower the risk for early death, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers. Physical activity can also improve mental health by reducing depression and anxiety. For people with disabilities, physical activity can help support daily living activities and independence.

Voluntary Medicare Society developed a sports club in the year 2015. Many people with disabilities and children with special needs are associated with the club who have not only participated in the Para- Olympics but also successfully participated in championships outside the state. It’s a great opportunity for physically challenged and specially-abled people as it provides a platform for them to explore their abilities in various sports activities.
